“A Science is exact only in so far as it employs Mathematics” - Kant

Mathematics is an indispensable subject of study. Study of Mathematics promotes habits of accuracy and exactitude, and prevents a man from being careless and slipshod. It is all around us, in everything we do. Math is the science which deals with the logic of shape, quantity and arrangement.. It is the building block of everything in our daily lives including mobile devices, architecture [ancient and modern], art, money, engineering and even sports. In this way it plays an important role in forming the basis of all other sciences which deal with the material substance of space and time.

Psychology is describing things which everyone knows in language which no one understand.
- Raymond Cattell

Psychology – Greek Word Psyche means breath, spirit, soul. Greek Word Logia means study of something. Psychology is the study of the mind and of thought, feeling and behavior. General psychology is an important discipline because it focuses on understanding, explaining and predicting human behavior emotions and mental processes. According to psychology today, the principles of general psychology have an impact on relationships in the workplace and in many other environments. Psychology lies at the crossroads of other discipline, such as medicine, linguistics, sociology, biology, artificial intelligence, anthropology and even history. For example, neuropsychology – which looks at how different brain areas are involved in memory, language, emotions, etc – overlaps with biology and medicine.

““I cannot teach anybody anything. I can only make them think.  - Aritotle

Philosophy is based on every person’s sense of wonder at the study of general and fundamental problems concerning matters such as existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind and language. Philosophy offers you a platform from which you can critically study the relationship between different descriptions of the world you meet in art, science and religion. This means it is also a good complement to other subjects, whether they are humanities or sciences. Many academic majors equip students with a particular set of skills that can be applied in particular type of professions. In contrast, Philosophy is more of a “meta discipline”. The student of philosophy learns how to think about complicated issues, to understand enigmatic problems, and to formulate and articulate cogent arguments. In short, the end product of studying philosophy is wisdom, which is applicable in any field.

“We commonly say in the trade that the most dangerous animal in a zoo is Man.” ― Yann Martel, Life of Pi

Zoology is the aspect of science that deals with the study of the animals’ evolution, habitat and behavior. The study of animals and communities provides insight into how ‘life’ works and consequently how we work. It has helped man to recognize the living thigs and to adapt himself according to the environment. Zoology is one of the most interdisciplinary subjects in science. Ecologists, physiologists, developmental biologists, geneticists, evolutionary biologists, mathematicians and even filmmakers make up the staff at Zoology. As a result , there is considerable flexibility in the chice of Zoology courses a a student can take.
